Day 1 - 7 Day Kickstart

So today is the ACTUAL day 1. I did my grocery shopping for the week, I've had 2 of my 3 meals already and the food is not only delicious, but surprisingly satisfying being that it's so limited.  I've just finished my second workout for today and now I'm going to take the kids outside. My active chore for the day is going to be cleaning up the back yard. It's a beautiful day out and Lily wants to paint...no need to create an extra mess in the house! While she's doing that, and Maddie is busy stealing and snacking on paints, I will be tidying yard and raking the lawn!! And when we're done, Lily pushes her little shopping cart around and picks up all of her toys to put back into the play house.

Also, life is a little crazy right now, so I haven't had much chance to start linking up some of the info I've been learning and utilizing, and I am still working on incorporating blog time into my day. So in the meantime, check out my Pinterestt account, there is lots of good info there to start with and some of those very pins are the articles etc I hope to be linking here!

Body Revolution

Today I started day one of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and I LOVE it! It's an intense workout, but only 1/2 hour long! I am starting with the 7 day metabolism boost diet plan, though I haven't shopped for the components of the diet yet...I guess we'll make it an 8 day plan then? So, you can look up what it all entails here, but basically it's a super strict 7 day metabolism boosting diet with a workout plan that actually is doubled up with a half hour of cardio in the same day too. After that, it's back to a normal, healthy diet and one workout per day. What I like is that this system is fool proof, it comes with a fitness plan, and several different workouts and tells you when to use each one. It also comes with a diet plan, including recipes and a shopping list. Normally I would like something that I can choose my own foods etc, but this one teaches you how to exchange foods you don't like for ones you do, and really, with my busy life, it's one less thing I have to think about and still get the results I desire!! Here goes!!

In the beginning...

I want to start off by introducing myself, sharing my goals with you both personally and for this blog, and how it came to be. This is my first time blogging, so I'm really new and actually have no clue what I'm doing! I see that other blogs all have a fancy front, which I have big plans and ideas for my own, but truthfully, I don't even know where to find that yet! lol

My name is Brandi and I am a 33 year old WAHM (Work at Home Mom). I have two beautiful girls, Lily who is 3, and Maddax 11 months, but we call her Maddie. They are the loves of my life, along with my great guy, Tino. I recently started a business as an Independent Distributor for It Works! Global. You'll hear about some of our fantastic products as I'm sharing my results etc throughout the blog, but if you're interested in purchasing anything or wanting to know more about the products or the business click here ,  "Like" me on Facebook here,  or message me privately.  This blog is not intended to be a place for advertising. As much as I LOVE to share my products etc with everyone, I don't want to bother my future readers with a bunch of advertisements etc.

I have wanted to start a blog for quite some time because I love to write and ultimately I would really like to write a novel one day, but I also love journal-ling. Beyond that, I love to share with people, and help people. The actual desire to blog specifically came from reading one of my favorites, Single Dad Laughing. Dan Pearce, the author, also has other blogs that I find quite useful and interesting, which you can find links to from his webpage.  I find his blog to be quite diverse...sometimes very lighthearted and funny, other times discussing more serious matters, and sometimes even hitting on very controversial topics...I admire his writing and his willingness to speak out about these topics especially! I really recommend checking it out.

It wasn't until today that I finally figured out just what I wanted my blog to be about and am finally ready to get going! I had thought I wanted to write about my weight loss goals and successes, but that wasn't quite enough...I didn't want to be tied down to one topic, and I also wanted to be able to create something that people would enjoy reading, and hopefully find useful and inspiring.

So, as I looked around the house today, I noticed the dishes piling up yet again, toys strewn about the house, a mountain of laundry in my living room, my bathroom that should be quarantined, no clue what I was making for dinner, my work stuff spread from the office area, to the dining room table and the kitchen counters....Everything about it spelled DISASTER! The problem is I'm addicted to my business, I love everything about it, I live and breathe It Works! And the other thing is that I've gained so much weight over the past 3 years and I am finished carrying it around...so how could I make time for me, get the exercise I was craving, entertain my kids and get them more active and still succeed at my business and meet my goals, and lose weight in a healthy way that I'm proud to share?

I devised a plan, or rather, a strategy, that will allow me to combine everything together, so that everything I'm doing is helping me achieve at least 2 goals! I want to lose weight, be a product of my products, devote time to my family, keep up my home and succeed with my business. And so my blog idea was conceived. I want to write about not only some of the great (and not so great) things about being a mom, but also running a home-based business, eating healthy, losing weight and feeling great and how I can not only manage, but effectively leverage my time to include all, succeed at all, and still maintain a social life and my sanity...Supermompreneur (in training) was born!

Now, I am not a doctor and won't pretend to be. My plan is also not proven to work as it is not one I've read in a book or subscribed to online (not that would mean those work either!). But, I do a lot of reading and gather useful information so that I can achieve my goals without following some fad diet and without incurring any huge extra costs. I want my lifestyle changes to be permanent changes...meaning: For Life. It is my goal to track the things I am eating and drinking, the exercise I'm getting, and the way I spend my time here, and modify as needed. This is my journey, and today is the first step!

I hope you enjoy reading, learn lots, are motivated and inspired by my writings, and will comment and share your own tips and ideas! Criticism is always welcome, but be polite. Rude and inappropriate posts will be deleted. Thank you :)
